Golden Pig Roasts
Hi, Hello, Oink !

Hi, we are Richard and Jenna Tory and we run Charisworth Farm, near Blandford. In 2015 we started doing hogroasts as a way of keeping our herd of rare breed saddleback pigs at the farm. Pig prices were on the floor and without covering the cost of rearing the pigs they would have to go, so Golden Pig Hogroasts was born.

We cater for parties, weddings and community events, covering all of Dorset and into the neighbouring counties. We have catered from County shows and Music festivals to small fetes and village gatherings.

At the farm we also keep a herd of Aberdeen Angus Suckler cattle, some Zwartble sheep and have some horses at livery. During the first May Bank Holiday we also host Teddy Rocks Music Festival each year, raising money for children's cancer charities.

We also offer funded school visits at the farm, meaning schools can have educational visits at no cost, looking at the food chain, crops, breeding, bio-diversity, and much more. If you are a school or student interested in this, please drop us an email.

We believe, giving the animals the best lives, - outdoors and stress free - means they have have a happy life and therefore when it comes to converting that animal to meat, it is with a respect that they have lived well. We would much prefer to cater with an animal that has been treated fairly and enjoyed its time. This shows through in the flavour of the meat as well and is why we are so proud of our product
